As usual for the genre, a new part primarily means new playable characters. One Piece Pirate Warriorsįinally, fan favorites like the Vinsmoke siblings are part of the playable one-piece characters. This is also a nice addition. Almost the entire environment can be blown through the area and so we as players get great feedback for the abnormally strong attacks of our characters. That is quite nice, but about 80 percent of the missions in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 have already been worked through extensively in the predecessors and therefore not very attractive for fans of the series or the anime. The story of Strohut Luffy is the most popular and successful manga of all time. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 we are promised the best moments in the entire one-piece story. We can once again dive into the first big “Arc” around Crocodile, Princess Vivi, and Alabasta, then rescue Nico Robin from the clutches of the CP-9 in Water Seven and experience for ourselves the events on the Sabaody Archipelago – before and after the two-year-old Time jump of the action.
But how well does it work? And do the changes manage to take the Pirate Warriors series to a new level? One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 Musou developer Koei Tecmo promises some innovations with the latest spin-off that should refresh the somewhat dusty Musou game principle: exciting boss fights, new playable characters, and of course much larger opponents than ever before.
